“Chinese Fun” When Not In Use

amusement park 1

Stefano Cerio describes his works as “exploring the boundary line between vision, recounting the real and the spectator’s horizon of expectation, [and] the staging of a possible reality that might not be true but is at least plausible.” and his latest photo series are an example of it. “Chinese Fun” is an exploration of the amusement parks, but when there is noone around. He is shooting areas, which are meant for fun and leisure and not abandonment, in this unhappy condition. There is some strange feeling in these photos, kind of moody, kind of distant to the viewer, since the absurdity of the amusement park architecture is more intense, when not in use.
