Didomestic apartment by Elii Architects

A small attic located on an old building in Madrid was transformed into a fully equipped and functional apartment by the Elii Architects studio.

The interior of the apartment was designed in a way to make most use of the small space. Even if the main area of the apartment appears to be empty it is fully equipped with every necessary comfort. Inside the walls, are hidden furniture and storage areas that can be pulled out and revealed by the user when needed. Moreover, the walls have some large sliding partitions that can transform the main space by opening it up or by dividing it into smaller rooms.

Elli Architects besides the practical features have implemented some fun elements, such a disco ball, a playground swing and a hammock. As they state “Every house is a theatre. Your house can be a dance floor the one day a tea room the next.”
