Designed by Japanese architecture duo JP architects, gift shop Le Mistral impresses everyone thanks to its geometric inner design. The Tokyo-based gift shop aims to bring the European culture close enough to the Japanese, selling European sundries which everyone can easy find in Europe, but not in Japan. The store can be easily spotted by its white gridded pattern that traces the shop’s shelving units, furniture, floor and door frames, while the space utilizes Le Mistral’s signature color of navy blue as a stark and refined base. The shop’s gridded, geometric design allows for the items found throughout, to be presented in a variety of different formats, making a continuously unique and refined atmosphere and experience. The architects reported “This design gives “order” and “freshness” for display changing from day to day”.
