A sculpture made of the pages of a book describes the emotion that someone feels when suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder. A train that has been derailed from its planned route revels from the inside of its cart a load of scattered letters that represent the mixed feelings that the sufferer experiences during cases of anxiety and panic.

The art-piece belongs to the graphic designer Thomas Wightman and it’s a visual metaphor that conveys the OCD’s emotions. This creation was inspired by the phrase “derailing my train of thought” that was said by a sufferer who felt that the compulsions and worry would side track him by doing everyday activities.
