Banksy’s masterpiece , Dismaland, after five weeks of operation in Weston-super-Mare, disassembled and transported to Calais.
According to a statement from the enigmatic creator, the strange park officially closed its doors at 10p.m. Sunday, September 26th, and the materials used to build it are now being sent to help provide shelter for refugees. All timber and fixtures from Dismaland were sent to the refugee camp near Calais to build shelters and create more civilized survival conditions.
On the website it was announced that no online tickets will be available causing disappointment to Dismaland‘s fans.The process to decommission and dismantle Dismaland is expected to take up to three weeks.
