James Murphy Makes Music out of Tennis Data

LCD Soundsystem frontman, James Murphy is doing something really unique during the US Open Tennis Τournament. In collaboration with IBM, he is using an algorithm and he is collecting data from every tennis match of the tournament either men or women, hoping to create 400 hours of new music. There is also a website dedicated to this project, where you can listen to either the “long” or the “short” version of each match. Once the tournament is over -it is set to last until September 8th-, Murphy will produce 14 music remixes of his favourite matches.

There is no doubt it is a really interesting initiative and you can see in the video below the contributors expain the whole procedure.
