Origami masks created by Joel Cooper

The following masks even if they seem to be made of copper or another kind of cast metal are actually made entirely of paper and in fact just of a single sheet. The talented artist Joel Cooper operates the origami art and specifically an even more complicated technique called “tessellation” in order to construct this impressive geometrical masks.

The artist first dyes the sheet in the suitable color shade and then folds it again and again until he reaches the desired result. In his personal blog, Cooper describes in detail the entire process of creation which you can read in this post.
