Mammoths, reindeers, dinosaurs and even a replica of the Sagrada Famiglia’s cathedral in Barcelona were constructed completely out of ice in the Heilongjiang Province in north-east China. We are referring to the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival that officially starts on January and lasts for one month. The impressive sculptures are carved out of ice from the Songhua river that is located nearby and manage to remain intact because of Hardin’s extremely low temperatures and cold winds.
