Minimalistic iPhone Photos by Tony Hammond

What iPhone can do as a camera is well-known. Besides, there is a reason why it is called the “photographer’s smartphone”. English photographer Tony Hammond, bearing that in mind, uses it as his one and only means of presenting minimalistic images, that are slightly edited.

Placed on a one-colour background, mostly of pastel color, his compositions mainly include one object, that accentuates the negative space the figure creates. The scenes he captures are not unusual. Flying birds, leaves, a tree’s branches. They are all part of our everyday lives, they can be so poetic though. Because minimalism and common image are not necessarily worn out, but an experience and memory of all of us.
