Star Wars story told through a hand-stitched tapestry

AledLewisCoruscantTapestry5

Α hand-crafted tapestry tells the whole story of Star Wars from the first till the sixth episode in a new and quite innovative way. The 30-feet-long artwork named “The Coruscant Tapestry” is created by Aled Lewis. Actually, the designer and illustrator who is based in London hand-stitched this folk-like tapestry along with his family and friends using cotton thread and a continuous Klostern fabric.

The tapestry depicts iconic scenes from the movies while characteristic quotes in Aurebesh lettering are cross-stitched along its border.  Moreover, the back of the art piece is hemmed with a custom-made printed pixel star fabric.

Currently, the Coruscant Tapesty is on display at Gallery 1988 located in Los Angeles while it also on sale for the hefty amount of 20.000 dollars.
