“The America Experiment” by Amiel Courtin

untitled-article-1442453503

Filmmaker Amiel Courtin-Wilson spent the last 17 years of his life studying the deserted cities of America and he now launches the first exhibition with photos and recordings that until now belonged to his personal collection.

The exhibition is called “The America Experiment” and it is the first time the artist exhibits his work in gallery. Despite the novelty of the exhibition, Amiel Courtin Wilson knows well how to document and compose his material. His work deals largely with addiction, poverty and crime, while his  cooperation with everyday people lend his stories a visceral realism.
