Stephen Hawking Talks About his Ideal Role

For movie The Theory of Everything, Eddie Redmayne portrays Stephen Hawking. The highly respected scientist stated that he imagines himself as the next James Bond “villain”, during his interview for the January 2015 issue of Wired magazine. He finds that his computer voice would be really matchy to such a hero.

“My idea role would be a baddie in a James Bond film. I think the wheelchair and the computer voice would fit the part”.

Stephen Hawking found out, when he was still a 21-year-old Cambridge undergraduate student, that he was suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and now, he is almost entirely paralysed and communicates through a speech-generating device. “I was able to speak with a speech synthesiser, though it gave me an American accent. I have kept that voice, because it’s now my trademark”.

72-year-old Hawking has made an appearance in American animation series, The Simpsons, and Star Trek, as well, where he played poker with Data, Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein. His cameo appearance on Big Bang Theory was canceled, due to health problems, while he has recently signed up to appear in the recent Monty Python reunion shows.
