Yoko Ono and Flaming Lips Present Their Own Version of “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)”

Flaming Lips and Yoko Ono join forces once again, and present their own version of “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” for Amazon’s new playlist “All Is Bright”.

Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” was released in 1971 by Ono and John Lennon, as a protest against Vietnam, while the couple’s voices were accompanied by Harlem Community Choir. This time, the kids’ voices of the Christmas classic by now, song are replaced by the psychedelic-like sounds of the band from Oclahoma, while Ono makes her appearance during the chorus.

The “All Is Bright” collection consists of 43 Christmas songs and is available for free to Amazon’s Prime Members. Amazon is also planning to release videos for each song of the playlist.
