Inside Marilyn Monroe’s New York Penthouse

marilyn monroe

[Apart from the actress, Arthur Miller, Bill Blass, Bobby Short and a Swedish princess have called it home.]

Now, someone willing to pay $6.95 mil. can do it as well. The penthouse of the 13th floor consists of bedrooms and bathrooms. This is the apartment where Monroe and Miller moved in, shortly after their marriage in 1956 and stayed there until 1961, when they divorced. Until then, the actress would rent an apartment a few blocks away from the one How To Marry a Millionaire was filmed.

There have been made quite a few changes in the apartment. The view of the East River and the 59th street Bridge is still quite impressive, but the new owner will take pride in the heated floors, the modern kitchen with the breakfast bar and the solarium of the guesthouse.
