DELIKATESSEN AW13

BY PURE CHANCE ANDRZEJ LISOWSKI AND STEPHEN HARTOG MET AT THE AIRPORT OF BARCELONA IN JULY 2004. STEPHEN LIKED ANDRZEJ’S SHIRT AND COMPLEMENTED ON IT. THE ENCOUNTER LASTED NO MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES. THEY COULD NOT IMAGINE THEN THAT 5 YEARS LATER IN AMSTERDAM, DELIKATESSEN WOULD BE BORN AS THEIR BRAIN & SOUL CHILD. THE BRAND INCAPSULATES THEIR SHARED ADMIRATION FOR FABRICS AND PURE FORMS.

While creating the AW13/14 collection, Delikatessen designer – Andrzej and Stephen Hartog took time to look examine what they believe to be a true value for men: exquisite fabrics, perfectly cut garments and precious buttons.

So they made a profound research and collected those treasures from around the world: Silky Italian cottons, brushed oxfords, and precious boiled wools, Indian Suvim Cotton quality for the latest line of t-shirts. Bomber jackets lined with Japanese chambres & precious mother of pearl buttons. Trocas, known for its unique shine and shade of whiteness.

The collection is created like a good old traditional meal. Andrzej Lisowski – a passionate cook, got inspired by Caponata, famous italian recipe. There, it’s all about premium ingredients and eclectic mixing skills.

Voilà! Bon Appetit.
