The International Woolmark Award is one of the most prominent ones in the fashion industry. Aiming to highlight new labels coming from all over the world, its producers travel every year around Europe and America, in pursuit of companies with remarkable potential. Once the finalists are chosen, they present their latest collections during a show. Each finalist is granted $50.000, to invest on their presentation, while the winner gets the prize of $100.000, as a fund for their next collection. Some of the most coveted people of the industry, such as Tim Blanks and Grace Coddington, are the competition’s judges.

Public School was this year’s winner. The New York-based brand is a representative of the urban culture of the city that never sleeps. Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are searching for perfection, through imperfection.
