Alan Taylor AW 2012 Collection And Fashion Film

London based designer Alan Taylor, has worked for designer like Alexander McQueen and Simone Rocha and has started his own label half year ago. His work is inspired by the graphic tribal masks with long fringes of London producer SBTRKT, the photography of Phyllis Galembo who documented eccentric tribes in Central and West Africa and Dan Flavin’s abstract installations that feature abstract shoulder lines mixed with classic tailoring. His Autumn Winter 2012 collection called Maske explores masculinity and is influenced by various cultures. The key item of Maske is the kilt, the garment that was worn warriors.
