Converse First String by Ryusaku Hiruma for Sak

Our worn out, ripped Converses have gone to another level after craftsman, Ryusaku Hiruma of Sak released his second lineup for Converse‘s premium label, First String.

Giving his personal interpretations of the classic Jack Purcell and One Star 1974, and always faithful to the traditional Italian techniques of shoemaking, that Hiruma learned in Florence, he made the shoes entirely out of leather -even the laces are leather- in natural shades of black and off-white. The details are present here and make the difference, with the logo printed on the back of the leather sole and the cut-out star on each lace.

Each model in the Sak for Converse collection is limited to sixty-four pairs and if you have already loved them you can find them in Saks Fifth Avenue, New York and in Canvas, California and sacrifice seven hundred dollars.
