From the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition will be presented to Europe. Celebrating the extraordinary creative talent of one of the most innovative designers of recent times, the exhibition will be last from 14th of March to 19th of July 2015 at the Victoria and Albert London Museum, in partnership with Swarovski. The first and largest retrospective of the late designer’s work, as well as the unfinished 2010 collection will be presented.

A few days ago, Vogue revealed some details abou, what the exhibition will be like. More than 30 new garments will be displayed, including several pieces that couldn’t be transported to New York (the breathtaking red ballet dress from The Girl Who Lived in the Tree and a white feathered dress from The Horn of Plenty)Gainsbury and Whiting, the production company that collaborated with Alexander McQueen in staging his catwalk shows, has also come on board to work with the V&A on the exhibition – helping create an atmosphere very much like his shows within the museum’s large exhibition space.
