Photographers, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari of cult magazine Toilet Paper, photograph Yohji Yamamoto’s new Fall/Winter 2014 collection. The Japanese designer, famous for his excellent tailoring skills and for his avant-garde influences on his clothes, created a collection inspired by comic books Manga. The stories of the Manga books include action, drama, fanstasy and mystery, but also complicated sexuality, which the famous photographers are inspired from, for this photoshoot. A kind of pop pervasion and a guilty pleasure characterize the aesthetics of the photoshoot. The clothes alone have a fetish tone that is captured in the photos.”The first time we saw the collection we thought it could be kind of sexy as it was so unsexy”.
