Work Style exhibition, Museum Rotterdam

‘Work Style’ is an exhibition which explores the relationship between fashion and work. Curated by fashion designer Monique van Heist, in collaboration with curator Sjouk Hoitsma, the exhibition is taking place in Museum Rotterdam (Rotterdam, NL) until September 3rd.

The exhibition features historical work wear that was made to last during physical labour along with over a hundred years old jeans, working jackets made of indestructible manchester fabric in different sizes and shapes. Inspired by work garments from Maison Martin Margiela and Jeroen van Tuyl , Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, Bas Kosters and Walter van Beirendonck are also presented. Finally, the exhibition includes portraits of people in their working environment, produced by Van Heist.
