This Is Pluto’s Closest Photo

Thanks to New Horizons, a space craft of NASA, and after a 10-year-long trip, this is the closest photo of Pluto we have ever seen so far. The spacecraft of NASA was heading towards the “dwarf” planet, and was supposed to reach a few days ago the nearest to it, almost 12.000 km away. However, it managed to get 12.472 km away (this is the distance between new York and Mumbai), and it is now the first craft to have explored an area so far away from the Earth.

“It should be a day of incredible pride.” said Charles Bolden, NASA’s chief administrator.
