There is no denying, everyone will be talking about Prince’s death. Musicians, artists share their thourghts with their fans, but those of the late singer as well, who passed away on Thursday, aged 57.
And when it was Morrissey’s time to pay his own tribute, everyone knew there would be a lot of things to talk about, and not only Prince. To make things clear, for website True To You, he criticized the media on how they covered Prince’s death, and the fact they forgot to mention his fight for the animals’ rights. “Neither of these points was mentioned in the one hundred television reports that I witnessed yesterday, as they covered the enchanted life and sad death of Prince.”
And he went on by making his own comparison to the Queen: “Prince, who made something of his life as opposed to having fortune handed to him, is far more ‘royal’ than Elizabeth 2”.
To sum up Prince’s influence, he wrote “Prince has influenced the world more than is suspected, and somehow the life of his music is just beginning, and he would be thanked not only by humans but also animals for living his lyrical life as he did.”
