The truth is that Mr.Gill Scott Heron is far from new in the world of music. Since 1970, he sings and recites against a backdrop music of jazz, soul and blues, in the dark side of New York. Having spent most of the last decade in jail and after revealing he is a HIV positive, the great-grandfather of rap, walks by the devil and makes this season’s grand return.
