Halcyon Selects: Porcelain Raft – Drifting In and Out

Porcelain Raft (Mauro Remiddi) released his debut album “Strange Weekend” earlier this year via Secretly Canadian. During 27 years of travels across Europe, begging from his native country Italy, this versatile musician dealt with different music genres from gypsy Klezmer to South Korean’s traditional music, while he also played piano for off-broadway tap dance shows. Having deep roots in so many times and places, Porcelain Raft created an utterly mesmerising dream-pop album between the sounds of M83 and Beach House. Gaining some very good reviews from many important music blogs and websites, “Strange Weekend” includes a song which is already in the running for one of the favorites of the year. The title of this track is “Drifting In and Out” and it is the third single out and its video clip was published a couple of days ago being self-directed by Mauro.
