Noises: BOY OF GIRL

boyofgirl

Formerly known as Moon Unit, i.e. the producer Paul Mogg and the vocal talents of St Martins’ graduate Rosalind, have succeeded in going beyond the divisions of dance music and are set to make Supersoul Records famous; they might not even have to rely on the magic acronym of «DFA», who’s offshoot the label is. Those who have seen Mogg and Ros Blair’s (Rosalind’s other name) live show will have no doubts; the additional presence of Xaver Naudascher assures that. Electro melodies that flirt with electro pop, kraut and prog rock and pop elements with atmospheric touches, along with the tender voice of Rosalind, are just some of the components of this sound, which has seen it gain a regular place on the list of acts that would breakthrough in the coming months. Moon Unit have already played in all the right clubs & venues in Europe, have released one of the most beautiful 12s of the year last March (Connections), and their first LP is highly anticipated by the crossover indie / dance community.
