Athens Photo Festival ’13: Call For Submissions [Deadline: 31.7.2013]

Athens Photo Festival is the largest photography event in Greece and a premier cultural event in Athens, organized by the Hellenic Centre for Photography. The Athens Photo Festival with over than 25 years of active and creative presence, expands its range of activities and its role in a changing society through a variety of projects and initiatives that enable people to experience and enjoy photography. It will be held at “Technopolis” of the Municipality of Athens, a former gasworks site that was founded in 1857, as well as in several cultural institutions and galleries around the city of Athens during the months of October and November.

Each year , the festival focuses on a specific theme. This year’ s festival theme intends to explore the concept “Fluid Identities” in the context of the changing state of contemporary society. But what is the role of photography nowadays?

Each proposal should contain a series of 8-12 images based on a particular idea or theme. These works can be about “Fluid Identities” in its wider interpretation or work unrelated to this year’ s festival theme.

 

There are two ways in which you as an artist, curator or organization may submit:

Online submission through the online form along with your images and / or video web links.

– Submission by post or courier.
