Monsieur Chypre – A Short Film With Erotokritos

Channeling the same sensuality that the name suggests, the label Erotokritos, has been seducing women of all ages for 15 years, with its creations which go back and forth between the sophistication of Parisand restlessness of Cyprus.
The very same sensuality is found in the fashion film ‘Monsieur Chypre’ which made its debut last month on the website of Vogue Italia. The video is credited to the talented duo of René Habermacher and Antoine Asseraf, both well known for their work with some of the world’s leading publications and fashion labels.
With the filming taking place in Paris, Nicosia, the Hala Sultan Tekke mosque in Larnaca, small taverns by the side of the sea, deluxe hotels and the majestic tomb of the Kings in Paphos, ‘Monsieur Chypre’, can be described as a unique audio-visual trip, in which the viewers are provided with exclusive peeks at the complicated lives of two oddly familiar characters.
Dressed in creations by Erotokritos as well as other big labels including Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Dior and Burberry, Loan Chabanol plays the part of a tormented Parisian woman cracking at the surface, while Constantino Kouyialis, is a revelation as a modern day Alexis Zorbas.
