Kostantia Manthou’s edible take-out box

Greek designer Kostantia Manthou created a bread-based box that you can also be broken up into miniature edible plates. She presented her eco-box in Milan Design Week 2014 as part of the “This is Very Dangerous” exhibition.

KI·RA and the Edible Tower, is a simple kit that comes with a hard bread recipe, a ceramic casserole dish, a special tool that makes it easy to divide the bread up, and a special transport tablecloth for picnics.

“Being Greek, the first thing that came to mind was bread. No matter the material, there is always waste. And frankly, the containers are also usually very ugly”, says Manthou.
