Cosmic Surgery by Alma Haser

Alma Haser is a London based German photographer with a degree in Photography at Nottingham Trent University. The Cosmic Surgery series, goes through three different stages fro the artist to accomplish the desirable result. Haser first photographs her model, and then she prints multiple images of the subject’s face, folding them into numerous geometric origami multidimentional shapes. Alma loves origami and considers it to be a very relaxing and intriguing act of meditation. She then places the origami face back onto the original portrait giving it a kaleidoscopic effect. In the end, she re-photographs the outcome, featuring both forms of art.
