Halcyon selects: Goldfrapp / Drew

London electronic duo Goldfrapp is going to release their new album, Tales of Us, due out September 10th through Mute Records, recorded at their countryside studio. The pair shared a press release describing their sixth album as the most narrative, cinematic and intimate recording so far, since all the songs are named in the first person with a cast list of evocative character sketches, the contrary love affairs, the suspense, hallucinations, fairy tales and modern folklores. Yesterday, Goldfrapp unveiled the slightly NSFW music video – short film for the first single “Drew,” which depicts a hallucinatory orgy in the English countryside, directed by Lisa Gunning.
