Seletti Wears Toiletpaper

Toiletpaper is one of the best examples of how a niche magazine done right can become a mass phenomenon. This photography-only publication was born in 2010 from a collaboration between artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari. The content is always over-the-top, kitsch, controversial, even disturbing. The collection has a general vintage appeal and is made up of tin dishware and tablecloths, each of which is decorated using some of Toiletpaper’s most characteristic photographic images – the toilet brush, the prancing horse, the cut-off fingers, the fish stuffed with precious stones and the ever-famous bitten pink soap. The collection is now available in Paris at Palais de Tokyo, Galeries Lafayette and Le Bon Marché. Worldwide distribution will launch in late September in specialized design and art shops.
