Maiko Kurogouchi’s Special Accessory & Clothing Line

Maiko Kurogouchi is a Tokio based designer. She recently showcased her SS/14 accessory and clothes collection, titled ‘’Mame’’. Maiko is a Bunka Fashion College graduate who has worked next to Issey Miyake. Her collection, Mame, consists of two separate lines- one capsule PVC accessories and bags capsule collection and a garment one. Maiko found it really difficult to manufacture the bags, but the breathtaking outcome, is more than compensating. Her female clothing line, is inspired by the time she lived in the country. She loved her grandmother’s style and used a lot of details she found in those clothes to create unique pieces featuring see-through pieces, embroideries, flower prints and delicate fabrics.
