Visiting London equals visiting Tate Modern. The 20th-century factory, by the Thames, has always been a must for Londoners and tourists, thanks to its permanent and temporary art exhibitions of contemporary art. It’s his architecture of Herzog & de Meuron for a big part of its visitors that was the site itself.
From June 17, 2016, a new building, designed by the same architects, will be a continuation of the already striking building, which is hosting art, dating back to 1900 to the day. The new building is a tower, with a combination of raw industrial spaces, refined with the architecture of the 21st century touch.
