Koli is a brand new label with big menswear ambitions. Launched at the start of this year, designer Harry Robert Smith aims to take menswear to the next level. The new collection, for Spring/Summer 2014 brings conceptual shapes and materials to the table, and is an attempt to make unconventional designs into the wardrobes of the 21st century fashion conscious male. Lengths are short and tailoring is crisp. Colour tones are light with light blues, creams and white working alongside black and grey. Unorthodox materials such as latex feature on pieces that also show an understanding of traditional techniques in creating knitwear. Overall the collection is light and commercial, whilst maintaining the brand’s desire to create conceptual and high clothing.
