Famous director, Sofia Coppola, takes a break from Hollywood studios for a while, to direct four commercials for Gap’s holiday campaign. The campaign, which goes by the tagline “Dress Normal”, encourages people to be themselves. “We wanted the campaign and the films in particular, to focus on the best part of the season –family and friends-“says a spokesperson of the company. “Even if you don’t always get your family, our message this season is that it’s easy to give them Gap” he continues.
In August, the company launched this campaign with also famous director David Fincher, with four more commercial ads. These commercials focused on the subject that you should always dress comfortable, like no one is watching (“Dress like no one’s watching”). At a statement given by Gap’s global president, he points out that Coppola helped the company bring back to life this campaign, through its honest and authentic tone of its commercials.
