The collaboration with the famous house is marked by a series of sunglasses called “Rihanna”. They will be released in June and their price, of course, is too high!
After the advertising campaign “Secret Garden IV” shot by Steven Klein, Rihanna teamed up once again with Dior – in the post Raf Simons era, in order to design this time a single pair of sunglasses, available in six colours – silver, pink, blue, green and red, which will be available entirely at the Dior stores for $840 each, while a 24-karat gold version will retail for $1,950..! Rihanna, who has designed shoes for Manolo Blahnik, is the first “face” of Dior (who has worked with top names including Charlize Theron, Marion Cotillard, Natalie Portman and Jennifer Lawrence) who was asked to extend their cooperation in the field of design. As she told wwd: “I literally sat there and drew and drew until I was happy with the design, and the team illustrated it for me right then and there. We picked materials and colors that same day, and after that it was a matter of weeks before I saw the first prototype.”
We are sure it was one of the most well paid “quickies” ever!
