It is time the studios portrayed more accurately sexuality on the big screen. A new trailer that was just uploaded on the Internet, featuring LGBT superheroes, explains why.

Iceman, Mystique, Catwoman were all LGBT super heroes in the comics from which they originate and yet when they became movie characters, they were turned into.. straight. Unlike this tactic, lies the trailer #LGBTSuperHeroes, starring two men fighting crime together, falling in love and trying to come into terms with their super powers in an epic call to action.

The trailer, of course, refers to a non-existent movie, which was screened last weekend at London’s MCN Comic Con. It received an enthusiastic feedback on the Internet, while its director, Mike Buonaiuto, said: “We hope that we can demonstrate to the studios that there is a huge audience for accurate LGBT portrayal on the big screen, and it won’t deter cinemagoers to buy tickets.”

Considering the #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend trending on the social media, he is absolutely right.
