Yesterday, in a gallery in Paris, the private viewing of Aitor Throup’s debut collection entitled “Legs: Objects for the Lower Body in Stop Motion” took place, while today the exibition will be open to the public. There, 38 pairs of trousers were dressed on carefully crafted sculptures and suspended from the ceiling. Continuing Throup’s fascination with structure and process, the presentation demonstrated the designer’s distinct ability to unite form with function. A unique and exciting perspective on contemporary menswear – for both its design aesthetic and refined presentation.
For those who will not be able to visit the exhibition in Paris, a screening is available at the designer’s website: www.aitorthroup.com/
