Seems like London still loves Alexander McQueen. Even 5 years after his death. The recent excibition ”Savage Beauty”, held by the V&A museum herded a lot of people while other exhibitions like Nick Waplington’s Working Process at the Tate Britain and LCF’s Warpaint show make also reference to the well-known fashion designer.
During an interview for his first ever men’s collection, McQueen answered honestly and full of enthusiasm all the questions of the DAZED reporter about his new -back then- beggining in 1996. During the interview, he admitted that most menswear in market at the time was all blank, without inspiration. His own collection was full of creativity and imagination, making use of sculptured shapes, sharp, nipped waists and bumsters for men.
