Three abandoned buildings and a promise towards the future of architecture, the city, human.
John Szot Studio presents Architecture and the Unspeakable, a video in which three buildings in Soho, Tokyo and Detroit are entering the fictional world and leave their present situation behind. The “ruins” turn into energy buildings of the 21st century, as a proposal aiming to the upgrading not only of the buildings themselves, but also of citizens’ everyday life.
After the 15-minute video of the award-winner architect and his team has been presented in Pratt Institute and Woodbury University among others, it is released online and it works as food for thought for all of us. What is present like? What will architecture be like in the future? What will that of human be like?
