Most girls have grown up with dolls. However, these dolls depict an idealized image which often affects young children. So, artist Wendy Tsao removes the makeup from glammed up dolls and turns them into major real life heroes.
Tsao chose to create dolls inspired by real women with stories of strength and courage. The idea behind the project is for girls to emulate and admire women who have made a difference in the world, whether in art or science or just being their own self. This way it turns out to be a much better influence for little girls a figure that is more accessible and closer to the everyday standards but also has offered to society.
