Ashkan Honarvar was born in Iran and now works and lives in the Norway. Honarvar graduated with a BFA Illustration and as a Graphic Designer. His aesthetic dissection has an intriguing macabre nature, which opens the images to interpretation. Vanitas is one of his previous works – an artistic collaboration with stylist Kathi Kauder and photographer Sabrina Theissen. For these collages Honarvar used Vanitas symbols in a search for the equilibrium between life and death. The woman depicted features different animal eyes – remnants of the instincts that guide people under extreme circumstances. His weird yet mesmerizing collages are more than eye candy.
