Wrapping Paper Series by photographer Benedict Morgan, is mostly based upon illusion and eyes’ easiness of being misguided. He is wrapping usual objects, of everyday use with multiple floral patterns. Afterwards, he is doing the same with the background, in front of which these objects are going to be shot.
His pictures are trying to activate our ability to recognize shadings and objects’ outlines, in order to perceive what is portrayed each time. The London-based photographer is using minimum lighting and stages each photo in such way, so as the final result brings to mind graphically edited images.
Besides his personal projects, Benedict Morgan has joined forces with major fashion brands, such as Givenchy and Hermès, and with well-known magazines, like Wonderland.
