At the beginning of this month, Comme des Garcons opened their first concept store in Tokyo, Japan, that features a mix of clothes’ brands, accessories and various home items, from electronic devices to pillows and basic household items from trendy Japanese design retailer D&Department Project. The whole idea behind the shop is that it focuses on long-life designs that never go out of style along with vintage and recycled goods. Check out the smocks that the brands’ staff wore as uniforms during the fashion show in New York in 1986, updated with a print on their back saying “Printemps- Ete 1986 Comme des Garcons”. Under the supervision of Kenmei Nagaok , it will surely make a strong fashion statement.
