The dutch art collective haas & hahn focuses in turning public urban spaces into modern art monuments by camouflaging them with imagination and mainly color. Their idea was developed in 2005 in Brazil where they first transformed the areas of Rio’s, Vila Cruzeiro and Santa Marta. This time their new project is part of the Shenzhen Hong Kong biennale‘s program, where they are invited to realize a favela painting in Shenzhen within the old buildings of Luohu cigarette factory. What is more important, is the fact that they offer job opportunities to local artists as well as a chance to feature their talent.
