A white house designed by Jon Lott of the Para-Project architecture office creates a sharp contrast to the traditional suburban scenery of Syracuse in New York. This white cubic construction stands out from the other two typical and traditional houses that surround it thanks to its unique design resembling Gianni Pattena’s Ice House created back in 1972.
The exterior of the house is covered in a translucent silicon-impregnated fabric skin that allows the day light to enter freely the interior space which features floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. “Haffenden House” was designed for two poets in order to be used as a writing studio perfect for concentration but also relaxation.
