Kering, the colossal group that owns massive fashion houses, like Saint Laurent Paris, Gucci, Stella McCartney and many more, along with the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) bring the annual Film Festival ΑSVOFF (A Shade View On Fashion Film) to the U.S. For the first time ASVOFF in lieu of taking place at the Centre Pompidou, at Paris, it will be premiered at FIAF’s Florence Gould Hall, on March the 14th. After screening 12 short fashion films, the festival’s founder Diane Pernet will hold a conversation-more-like-interview- with filmmakers filmmakers Mike Figgis (“Leaving Las Vegas”) and Jerry Schatzberg (“Scarecrow”), while a stylish dialogue will be held between Garance Dore and “The Sartorialist” Scott Schumman. Among the selections, a short film by major fashion photographer Bruce Weber for Barneys New York and a made by Figgis Agent Provocateur film will be included. What a wonderful time to travel to New York.
