Magritte X Opening Ceremony: Art meets fashion

Opening-Ceremony-Magritte-002

Βelgian surrealist painter, René Magritte, tried  to make everyday objects shriek aloud. Almost fifty years after his death, his work still causes this effect, but this time in the form of clothes and shoes. The wonderful world of Magritte, is entering the Opening Ceremony stores through a limited edition ready-to-wear collection alongside three footwear collaborations with Birkenstock, Vans and Manolo Blahnik. By creating wearable clothes, the company reinvented twelve of the greatest works of the famous painter, on a selection of sweatshirts, footwear, shirts, t-shirts and dresses. The capsule collection complements the poetic and humorous nature of the artist’s original work.
