No more sexy calendars for Pirelli. For year 2016, at least, since the tire company, known for its super sexy calendars, asked iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz to shoot dynamic and strong women of the day, like Serena Williams, Patti Smith and Yoko Ono.
As the company says, this year’s calendar will be a “radical and inspirational departure from previous years.”, while the photographer says “I thought that the women should look strong but natural, and I decided to keep it a very simple exercise of shooting in the studio”.
Is this calendar going to be equally successful as the previous ones or is Pirelli going to make a comeback to its sexy images for 2017?
